The Craft

Thousands of shells.
One vision.

Pawel Borzym is a sculptor with a singular obsession: transforming spent bullet casings into extraordinary works of art. Working from his studio, he arranges hundreds — sometimes thousands — of brass shells by hand, building up forms that range from delicate animals to bold pop-culture icons.

Currently in what he calls his "bullet shells period," Pawel creates animals, logos, cartoon characters, and custom collector objects.

"The shells carry weight — literally and symbolically. I'm interested in what happens when you turn an instrument of destruction into something beautiful."

What makes it unique

Not cast. Not printed.
Assembled by hand.

01
🔩

Sourced & Sorted

Authentic spent brass bullet casings are collected, cleaned, and sorted by caliber and patina — the raw material of every piece.

02

Placed by Hand

Each casing is positioned individually — no molds, no casting. The form emerges shell by shell, requiring days or weeks of patient work.

03

One of a Kind

Because every shell differs slightly in patina and shape, no two sculptures can ever be identical. Each is a truly unique original.

The Artist

Pawel Borzym

Pawel Borzym is a sculptor working with one of the most unusual and evocative materials in contemporary art: spent bullet casings. Each sculpture is built entirely by hand, casing by casing.

His current series explores the relationship between destruction and beauty. Animals emerge from the spent cartridges of firearms. Icons of popular culture are rendered in brass. The familiar becomes strange, and the dangerous becomes delicate.

Pawel's work has been exhibited at Artexpo New York and Red Dot Miami, and is held in private collections internationally.
