I created this sculpture to explore the concept of Ethereum, connecting the rebellious spirit of the 1970s punk movement with the cyberpunk ethos of Silicon Valley that inspired the creation of modern cryptocurrencies. These forces challenge traditional banking systems, redefining money in our digital age. The meditating pose symbolizes the ethereal, intangible nature of cryptocurrencies—something invisible yet powerful.
The use of bullets in the sculpture adds a layer of symbolism, representing the resilience and "bulletproof" nature of the code that secures the cryptocurrency network. Just as the sculpture embodies rebellion and resistance, this bulletproof code protects the blockchain against attacks. Through this piece, I aim to capture the fusion of past and future rebellions, blending cultural movements with the innovative spirit of technology to create a thought-provoking work that reflects the ever-evolving nature of currency and security.
